The Kashmir Golf Club offers 18 holes with common fairways. In addition to this, the Royal Springs Golf Club course was designed by Robert Trent Jr. and is known as one of the most beautiful courses in Asia today. Many key tournaments and events are held here every year.
Named Sheikh ul Alam Airport is well connected and airlines provide regular flights from Srinagar to Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai. The airport is situated just 15 km far away from the center of the city.
You have to reach either Jammu Tawi or Udhampur railway station to reach Srinagar by train. Both railway stations are well connected with different parts of India.
There is no direct bus between Srinagar and New Delhi. You can take flight from New Delhi to Jammu, and then take State Transport Bus to Srinagar from Jammu.
Dal Lake, the most important landmark of Srinagar, has the length of 8 Km long, a width of 4 Km and spreads over a total of 26 Sq. Km. The Lake is lined by gardens and many parks. One of the many Mughal Gardens constructed on the Dal Lake. Nishat Garden is one of the biggest Mughal Gardens in the valley. The Persian gardens have fixed geography, but the garden was notified due to various kind of geography as well as an available water source.
The temple is located just in the middle of the city. From Shankracharya Temple, you can have a view of entire Dal lake. Keep in mind that camera, mobile phone, shoes and any other leather stuff are not allowed here. Not even wallets as well.

This market is surely one of the best places to buy some great souvenirs in Srinagar. This market is laden with shops selling Pashmina items such as jamawars along with walnut wood carved items and wooden jewelry boxes.
This place is the best market area for Kashmiri handicrafts, ethnic dongra jewelry, and dry fruits. Figs, dates, raisins and apricots are some of the dry fruits that can be purchased from here. Apart from this, a few shops also sell wide varieties of walnuts that are sold in big bags.
